We have talked with our tea factory partner. They are sorry about the shortage of various kind of matcha. Shared how foreign groups clear out the matcha shelves every day in the store... and what they did to cope with the sudden increase of demand.
"Matcha's popularity has made people more familiar with Japanese tea, which is a good thing, right?"
The employee forced a smile. We understood the meaning behind that smile. Matcha only occupies a part of Japanese tea culture. Matcha's beauty can bring huge attention on the Internet, just like 🐈. We are both not sure is matcha helping to promote the core value of Japanese Tea.

However, there are many unknown including the supply quantity, pricing after the new tea season. But everyone in the Japanese tea industry have worked hard to cope with the demand.
We hope the Japanese Tea Culture can continue to grow.
