Shin matcha is not produced by many tea producers, which requires them to take the harvest and process them early to release the market. It is a rare, limited chance to try this tea!
Marukyu Koyamaen sells two shin matcha, but I recommend this Hatsu Enishi with a fresh scent and grassy flavour, light umami and a short aftertaste finish.
What is shincha? It is the first harvest of the year. Equipped with most nutrients, shincha has a noticeable tea tree aroma with a very contrastingly mild flavour without much astringent flavour, highlighting a strong sweetness and umami.
Best before date: Within 6 months. Expect to deliver before end of May
